Zomato Restaurant review - Dhaba Stories, Sarjapur

Yum
View my food journey on Zomato!

It was a family visit for us when we decided to have some authentic Punjabi food on a weekend. We were anxious about getting a parking space and surprisingly there were only 3 to 4 and all were expectedly full. But the lane beside the building had enough street side parking which rescued us. The food was awsome, full of ajwain which felt really mouth watering. We ordered lachha paratha, paneer pasinda and kullad lassi and all were really good. Ambience was nice and cozy with some dhaba style beds to sit with. People serving there were polite but meal preparing time was too much. We also loved the mouth freshner they provide after dinner. It was jaggery instead of sugar.  Overall a 4.0 from our side. Some photos depict the environment.

BTW, we visited for the same place second time within a month but surprisingly the food quality came down, no ajain in lachhadar paratha and paneer was not fresh. Really disappointing

Zomato Restaurant review - Beijing Bites, Dommasandra

Yum

View my food journey on Zomato!

We went to Beijing Bites in Dommasandra. The place is called Nature Walk and have a nice setup. We didn't have to wait on Sunday afternoon and that was good. The people over there were quite polite and helpful. We ordered a crispy Wanton for starters and it was really good. One caveat though, the waiter who supplied it could not tell us the name as the menu book was returned and my daughter wanted to know. But the food that followed was of good quality and the taste was really yummy. Sweet and sour chicken was the best of all. One of the AC was not working and it was rather hot. So I cannot give a 5 star rating for the restaurant but a 4.5 should be ok. Few photos follow.

Zomato Restaurant review - Moriz, Whitefield

Yum
Moriz Restaurant Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Moriz is a middle level restaurant which serves Arabian and Indian foods mainly. We went there on a Sunday afternoon with family to enjoy some good Arabian food. The parking is there on the road in front of the restaurant itself. Though I asked for police intervention they assured me that nothing will happen. But police came and threatened to tow away the cars parked on the Whitefield road. Luckily they allowed us to park in the opposite lane. However we found that the food was good - we ordered Afghani Bar be Que and it was delicious. But the AC was not running properly and though we were placed just under the AC we were sweating. We further ordered Butter Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala with a Veg dish - Paneer Malai Koft. These ones were not so good taste and already my kids started asking for Ice Cream. So we went ahead and ordered a mango icecream and Falooda. The Ice Cream was good but Falooda cannot be called a proper falooda as the layer of vermicelli was missing. Anyway we were comfortable with service provided but again no water was available in toilet and wash basin taps. We were provided with a bucket and mug. Hence it is sort of mixed feeling about this restaurant and a rating of 3 from my side. Lastly I need to mention that they accept Dineout Pay and provide 10% discount on reservation by Dineout. Zomato Restaurant review - Aditya Sweets, Whitefield

Yum

This was a premier sweet and chat shop located near D'Mart on HAL Varthur Road. It is wrongly mentioned in Zomato that there is no seating place. There are 4 tables each with 4 chairs. The first notably good thing about this place is hygiene. The cleanliness is superb and the stuff here are quite polite and courteous. The food is predominantly North and West Indian. The chat section is quite famous here. Chole Bhature, Hot Gulab Jamun and Raj Kachori are what we ordered. The taste is delicious but price is on higher side. Especially charging for packaging sweets is too much. The Ice-Cream is also quite tasty here and reasonably priced. Hence a 4 star from my side.

Zomato Restaurant review - Sorse, Whitefield

Yum
Sorse Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

We do not have many Bengali Restaurants in Whitefield and Sorse is one of them. We went there on Saturday and that is why could not try Non-Veg food. We ordered two Veg Thalis and Bengali Veg Pulao. My kids ordered Luchi Alur Dum and Egg Devil. I would say the dishes were not many and the portion are also not large. The taste was good but if you compare with Bhajohori Manna then it would score less. But the price here is reasonable and the ambience is nice. The waiters were helpful but the responses were not prompt. There are other problems also like parking and water supply in wash basin. There is very limited parking available and that is for the whole building shared by other establishments. It was full on weekends and it is a pain to park. You can of course park your vehicle in nearby Forum Value mall but that would be extra Rs 40 for staying over 1 hour. There was not water in hand wash area and that also caused lot of difficulties. Overall I would give 3.5 as rating. Some photos are included here.

Zomato Restaurant review - Citrus Cafe - Lemon Tree Hotel, Whitefield

Yum
Citrus Cafe - Lemon Tree Hotel Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Visited this restaurant for dinner and chose to have their buffet as I had the gourmet passport by dineout which makes the buffet price halved. We went there with kids and my sister-in-law. The hotel was a desolete place at night - not very easy to find out the gate for entry. But Google maps helped us and we reached the parking place. Once parked, there was nobody to guide which direction is the reception, neither there is any sign. Anyway, we somehow found the way and reached the reception. They guided us to the restaurant. There was refreshing lemon fragrances throughout the hotel and that is very pleasing as I love citrus smell. The buffet price was reasonable ( Rs 650 per head ) but the spread is discouraging. There were only 4~5 starters and apart from the fish item none of them was worth mentioning. There were very few options in any categories. There was pasta live counter and that one serves quality pasta preparation but desserts were few and of average quality. The only saving grace was service and the waiters were very helpful. They arranged some juice for my toddlers which was out of the menu. Overall I am disappointed with this restaurant. They may not be costly but food is not worth visiting. A rating of 3 from my side.

Here are some of the snaps taken there of my family and me.
